Job Description and Responsibilities:
1. Production/Operations:
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth
operation of all sections within our facility. This involves operating the
Distributed Control System (DCS) and maintaining critical parameters such as
differential pressure, caustic concentration, temperature, and brine
temperature.
2. Maintain Product Quality:
At Aditya Birla Grasim, we take pride in delivering
high-quality products to both our internal and external customers. As a Front
Line Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our
products. This includes adhering to process and quality parameters as per
Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and monitoring in-process parameters to
meet our customer's quality requirements.
3. Control Production Costs:
Efficiency is key in our operations, and you will be
responsible for controlling the cost of production to achieve targets within
budgeted costs. This involves stringent control over process parameters and
timely intervention to optimize chemical consumption. You will also ensure that
equipment operates at optimal levels and prevent any idle running of equipment.
4. Optimize Energy Consumption:
Energy efficiency is a vital aspect of our operations. You
will be responsible for maintaining the RPM settings of all Variable Frequency
Drives (VFDs) at optimum levels, monitoring and controlling cell parameters for
optimum cell power consumption, and ensuring that cell temperature, Gpl (grams
per liter), and concentration adhere to OEM recommendations for minimum power
consumption.
5. System Management (Safety, Sustainability & WCM):
Safety, sustainability, and World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
are core values at Aditya Birla Grasim. In this role, you will strictly adhere
to safety norms and safe operational procedures. You'll also be responsible for
implementing Integrated Management Systems (IMS), WCM, and sustainability
practices. In emergency situations such as liquid chlorine leakages, you will
be trained to handle them efficiently as part of our Disaster Management
activities. Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in training the shop floor
team to comply with these norms and help maintain process systems with zero
effluent and zero accidents.
