Role description
Transmission Aggregates Design support, Integration and releases on Defence Vehicles
Integration of transmission aggregates (Manual gearbox, Automatic Gearbox, Transfer cases, Live Rear Axles) on vehicles and modifications of existing products, DMU preparation, 2D drawings and release in PLM systems.
1) 3D DMU preparation for 25R,26R,27R,28R,33R & 35R as applicable in Creo.
2) Modular and as per latest methodology 3D components modeling and integration/assemlby in Creo.
3)TML standard format 2D drawings considering the manufacturing feedback.
4) PLM release of drawings and TPL's/modules for VC's of army vehicles
5) Support for DFM/DFS/DFA with concern stake- - 3D modelling and Drawing preparation in Creo.
6) TPL preparation and release in PLM.
7) Coordination with internal agencies like Proto planning, Testing, Vehicle Integration, CAE.
8) Coordination with Suppliers.
Job Responsibility : (Describe responsibility of this position for above deliverables)
- Co-ordination with IDT, ODT, CE office, VATS teams for Benchmarking of aggregates / parts and relevant Benchmark data collection.
- Sizing and modeling of components and preparation of CAD layouts with guidance from Project Lead and set internal / external standards along with consideration of Vehicle packaging constraints, DMU requirements etc. DMU review with Vehicle Integration for finalisation of layouts.
- Drawing preparation with tolerance stackups and GD&T under guidance from Project Lead.
- Co-ordination with Engg. Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Support, AQ for DFMEA/DFA/DFS/DFM document preparation and signoffs defined as per release milestones.
- PLM Engineering BOM creation and Release taking into account BOM correctness and Quality requirements as per WCQ standards and PLM processes.
- Raising of Indents to Proto planning for Proto Parts development and co-ordination during development activities.
- Co-ordination with IDT and ODT for test samples readiness and Test execution.
- Work with component suppliers for DFM / Developmental issues.
- Co-ordinate with Aggregate suppliers for Design Data Exchange, Test Samples Development etc.
- Assist in ICR / VAVE activities from Idea Generation till Implemetation.
Minimum Qualification & Specialization (e.g. BE-Mech):
Diploma/BE/B.Tech. Mechanical
Skills :
Primary Skill :3D modeling and Drawing preparation in Creo, PLM E-BOM and Release Activities
Secondary Skill :DFMEA, Failure Investigation, team Playler with good co-ordination
Domain Knowledge :
Must have : 1. Good knowledge of Transmission (Clutch/Drive Axle/Gearbox/Transfer-case) aggregates. 2. Knowledge of GD & T & Tolerance Stack up.
Preferred to have : 1. Knowledge of Major component manufacturing Processes like Machining, Casting, Forging, Forming, and Welding. 2. Knowledge of Processes like DFM / DFA / DFS and Design for Cost and Reliability.
